Dr. Gerasimos Yoxas

Hydrogeologist with 20+ years of experience in hydrogeological and environmental studies, water resources management, specializing in water regulation issues, definition of water abstraction protection zones and support of strategic plans for water service providers. He has developed innovative methodologies in the field of groundwater vulnerability under the name “SCALDI” which was adopted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for the assessment of vulnerability of fractured rock aquifers in 2021, with application to large-scale projects in Greece. He is a Scientific Associate and Visiting Professor of Hydrogeology at the Department of Mineral Resources Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia.
